Captain John specializes in light tackle fishing for inshore game fish in Tampa Bay. He is
licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard and has fished the waters of Tampa Bay since

John Paiva. Redfish, Snook, and Trout are the most common species of game
fish caught when fishing Tampa Bay. It's not uncommon to catch an Inshore
slam" which includes a Redfish, a Snook, and a Trout in one day.
Tampa Fishing Guide Capt., John
Paiva will target the fish that are biting to maximize the enjoyment of
your Fishing Charter. Redfish fishing in Tampa peaks in mid to late spring
and again in mid to late fall. Trout fishing in Tampa Bay is best in the
cooler months although many large trout have been caught on fishing charters
in late spring and early fall. Snook fishing is best during mid spring to
early summer. A variety of other species such as Grouper, Snapper, Cobia,
Mackerel, Kingfish, Flounder and more are caught while fishing in Tampa.
Captain John provides license,
bait, tackle (top of the line rods and reels), ice and water. Clients are
